A smarter way to play
Good answers start with careful reading. Use these tips to make more of your 25 seconds.
1. Identify the answer type
Look first for whether the question asks for a player, a team or a head coach. A name you know well may still be the wrong kind of answer.
2. Check the time window
Pay attention to the season, date or range in the prompt. A player can have a qualifying achievement in one period but not another. The question's written boundary is the one that counts.
3. Find a safe answer, then think deeper
Remember one name you are confident fits before you search your memory for less obvious options. Less obvious qualifying answers can be worth more, but a submitted answer that qualifies ends the round, so make your choice before you submit.
4. Review without the clock
Use Answer Lab to examine a question at your own pace. Compare the scope and source with names you thought should qualify, then take that knowledge into another game.
